Launched in Milan in 1961 as a vehicle for promoting Italian exports of furnishing and accessories, the Salone Internazionale del Mobile is the global benchmark event for the furnishing and design sector.
Initially as a subsection of the Salone, the International Bathroom Exhibition became an exhibition in its own right in 2006, reflecting the evolution of the domestic bathroom, formerly a strictly functional space, into a dedicated sanctuary for relaxation and wellness.
In this Bathrooms In Focus we’re taking a look at some of the highlights from the exhibition. Enjoy!
Represented in the Jacqueline and Perle collections, for Gessi “haute culture” is the expression of the utmost of experimentation in terms of material, form and technique, which is realised in the enhancement of the creativity of those who design and those who forge its lines every day, infusing them with passion and manual skills of excellence.
Falper products are renowned for the high quality of the materials used, with a clear stylistic quality that is recognised internationally. This is accompanied by a constant orientation towards innovation, as again seen with their Fontana, Butler, Minimum and Minimum Integrato collections.
Acquabella was born with the vision of giving life to your bathing environment. Their creations continue to arouse emotions and allow you to experience their full elegance and beauty.
In this tradition comes the Opal Quiz and Chrea freestanding baths, with the matching Chrea basin, XL on-top basin and the Flow Zero shower tray.
Scarabeo was founded in 1974 by Giovanni Calisti with the aim to manufacture elegant and functional washbasins and furniture. This tradition continues to this day. Among the new collections released at Milan Design Week is the Diva line, designed to complete and enrich the eclectic collection of Moon washbasins.
