Bathrooms In Focus – Bette

By | Newsletter

This time out we’re focusing on a German bathroom giant Bette. A family-run company, producing premium architectural bathroom components from steel-titanium alloy, enamelled with purely natural materials since 1952. Their thermoforming process allows them to create flowing shapes with extraordinary craftsmanship and precision.

Bette products are one-of-a-kind, their automated serial production line can handle more than 600 different colours with a broad range of dimensions to create an inspiring space in every bathroom design.

The sophisticated designs Bette is known for are made possible thanks to their unique moulding techniques.

In order to give the rims of their products a minimal shape, 250 tons – which is the combined weight of 50 adult elephants – are applied to the material for around 40 seconds. This results in exceptionally narrow rim heights and corner radii.

Bathrooms In Focus – Sensor Taps

By | Newsletter

Previously utilisted mostly in public settings, sensor taps are becoming ever more popular in the home as well.

Aside from user convenience, they guarantee a higher level of hygiene as non-contact taps reduce the risk of germ spreading via surface contact. A helpful consequence is reduced regularity in cleaning too.

Another reason for their growing popularity, smart fittings are more efficient. People with conventional taps often use significantly more water than is actually needed. Sensor fittings provide only what is required, when it is required, minimising waste and saving energy costs.

In all Hansgrohe sensor fittings the on/off function is carried out in a 200-millimeter sensor area, so that the fittings do not need to be touched.

They are therefore particularly hygienic and at the same time require less cleaning.

Bathrooms In Focus – Water Saving

By | Newsletter

As world leaders meet in Glasgow focusing their minds to find solutions to the climate crisis, we take a look at some products that may help you to be more sustainable in your own bathroom.

These products from industry leading brands continue to provide first class performance and style while saving valuable water and also potentially reducing your energy bills.

EcoSmart Metris Basin Mixer

Hansgrohe EcoSmart is seamlessly integrated into your Hansgrohe product. Its effect, however, cannot be overlooked: EcoSmart ensures comprehensive savings, which isn’t just good for your eco-record when it comes to resource consumption, but also for your budget.

Cut water consumption without cutting style.

The latest generation of Laufen water-saving WC’s (incl. Pro, New Classic, Riva, Kartell) are optimised to flush with two reduced flushing volumes: 4.5 or 3 litres of water. Compared to today’s 6/3 litre dual flush or 6 litre single flush standard, these new models provide substantial water savings.

Catalano - Newflush
Catalano - Newflush
Catalano - Newflush Vortex
Catalano - Sfera Newflush

Newflush system, designed by Catalano, optimises the WC flushing performance thanks to its powerful vortex system.

This technology significantly reduces the sound of toilet flush, reduces the water consumption and with its dynamic cleaning action there is a reduction in the use of detergents.

Geberit concealed cisterns are the classics of modern bathroom installations. With dual flush technology they can substantially reduce your water usage compared with traditional one flush cisterns.

The flush volume of the Geberit concealed cistern can be limited to 4.5 litres. So when married with the latest generations of WC pans from Catalano & Laufen etc. it’s an exemplar of water consumption.
